Industrial Energy Efficiency Iran (03/17)

Industrial energy efficiency is a new topic in Iran. Low energy costs are no incentive to invest in measures to decrease energy consumption. However, this situation has been changing and as energy costs increase and environmental concerns raise the efficient use of energy becomes an area of interest.

Supported by UNIDO we have been working with industries on projects to improve industrial energy efficiency since 2017. Beside the work in factories we concentrate on training and awareness raising for bank and loan officers to provide finance opportunities for such projects. On site we work with local engineering companies, banks and the Iranian Fuel Conservation Company.
